An apostille is a certificate that confirms the signature and seal on a public document so that it is recognised in other member countries of the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention, without further embassy legalization.
Afghanistan is not a member of the Apostille Convention. Afghan documents therefore cannot receive an apostille and normally follow the legalization route instead. But many of our clients need documents from abroad — a German marriage certificate, a US diploma, a British police check — and those can be apostilled in the country that issued them. Through our international offices we request the apostille for you.

Frequently asked questions
Can an Afghan document get an apostille?
No. Because Afghanistan is not a party to the Apostille Convention, Afghan documents are normally verified by the competent Afghan authorities and then legalized by the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
Do I need a translation as well as the apostille?
Often yes. Many authorities want a certified translation of both the document and the apostille certificate. We can provide both.
How long does an apostille take?
It depends on the issuing country and authority. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote.
